Salvaged Trials - 28/06 & 12/07

Posted 2014-06-18 11:44:00 by Dan Page

After a busy period both working on Salvaged lore and some other cool projects, we're ready to proceed to the next stage of Salvaged's game development, and we want to involve you guys (especially if you're based in Bristol).

We're using some clever eye-tracking software that lets us see where people are looking when they're playing Salvaged. This will help us to optimise our use of dual screens, and work out exactly what's working and what isn't. We've had some insights into this before, but it's been purely based on us listening to people after they've played so it'll be really helpful to have some exact data on where people are looking.

We're looking for Bristol residents to come to the Opposable Games office in Bristol and trial four variations of the prototype and give us their feedback. We're open suggestions from you guys and we'll even tell you a bit about the expanded Salvaged universe to see what you think.

The first two trial dates we have in stone are the 28th June and the 12th July at the Bristol Games Hub from 10:00am onwards. We've a limited set of slots so please let us know what time you're likely to be able to arrive and we'll get you booked in. The trials are likely to last around an hour.

If you're interested, please get in touch with me, Dan, at dan.page@opposablegames.com with the date you're available and I'll add you to the list.

If you can't make any of those dates, sign up to the Salvaged mailing list on the homepage and we'll keep you informed of any new dates, as we might add some weekday evening slots soon.

If you're not a Bristol resident, we'd still like to hear from you, simply sign up to the Salvaged forums, and keep an eye out for our our survey. This will include a whole host of images and storyline ideas we've been working on that we'd love to know your thoughts on.
